InSight Scleral is a comprehensive scleral lens design that can be used on virtually anyone. It works equally well on both normal and compromised corneas.
It provides a stable and comfortable fit, while maximizing visual potential in cases where soft lenses and intra-corneal rigid lenses may not provide adequate correction.
InSight Scleral can also deliver multifocal correction up to +3.00 diopters of ADD power, providing excellent distance and near vision in a remarkably comfortable lens.

Fitting the InSight Scleral Lens is simple. Here are a few resources to help you get started, from selecting your initial diagnostic lens to evaluating the fit, and insertion and removal tips and pearls.
InSight Scleral features a unique design approach we like to call HHM Technology, which refers to the way this lens was developed.
HHM Technology stands for the collaboration of custom contact lens industry professionals and clinical practitioners in the development of optical devices that substantially improve the world of sight for those in need of visual compensation. HHM includes the expertise of over 80 years of work in the field of contact lenses and optics.

Scleral lenses are large-diameter rigid lenses that rest on the sclera and vault over the cornea. First designed in 1887, scleral lenses predate what we now consider conventional contact lenses.
Today, scleral lenses provide an effective option for patients with irregular corneas who may not be well served by conventional contact lenses. Scleral lenses vault the cornea and maintain a fluid reservoir beneath the lens, helping provide clear vision while supporting corneal health.

Our office has trusted Metro Optics for more than three decades for their consistency, quality, and exceptional patient care. One of my most complex Keratoconus patients told me his new InSight scleral lenses were the most comfortable he had worn in 20 years. That level of attention to detail helps us deliver the “wow factor” our patients deserve.
