Designed for the emerging to moderate presbyopic patient,
the Metro Progressive is an aspheric multifocal that can accommodate up to 2
diopters of add power in its standard version and 2.75 diopters in its enhanced
version.
Beginning with a center distance zone of 2mm. Metro
Progressive’s aspheric base curve increases add power as vision moves to the
periphery. Transitional intermediate and near power zones are created when the
posterior portion of the curve flattens. This flattening also helps align Metro
Progressive’s base curve with the natural curvature of the cornea resulting in
greater comfort for the patient.
Metro Progressive is fit empirically
using basic patient exam information, and can also be made with toric
parameters.
Consultants are always available to assist with lens fitting and accept patient information by phone, fax or email. Metro Progressive fitting guides can be printed from this website or complete information packets can be mailed when requested from customer service. Patient information is collected by customer service via telephone, fax, regular mail or email.
Introduced in 1993, the Metro-Seg translating bifocal was
designed for patients with more advanced presbyopia and a demand for crisp
distance and near vision. Metro-Seg provides a smooth, no “image-jump”
translation, as well as accommodating unlimited near power. Metro-Seg’s patented
crescent design features several unique performance qualities including a large
add zone, easy translation between lens segments and stable vision with up to 30
degrees of lens rotation.
Metro-Seg is fit empirically using a patient’s
basic exam information and can also be made with toric parameters.
